Recreation Coordinator PT

 $12-$15 DOE 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Recreation Coordinator will assist and support the Recreation Manager, plan, organize, and implement small-scale events and activities for Daybreak Residents. The Coordinator must embrace the five community pillars: connectivity, life-long learning, healthy living, giving back, embracing arts, and diversity.

  • Creating weekly or monthly programming for residents of all ages
  • Assisting with signature events
  • Assisting and hosting monthly events
  • Event set-up and breakdown
  • Contributing to a successful summer concert series                                                                                                                       

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 The Recreation Coordinator position is not a desk job. Many events are held on weekends and evenings; a flexible schedule is required.

  • Assisting with planning and execution of community events and programs
  • Corresponding with vendors and residents
  • Vehicle care and maintenance
  • Administrative duties found in a typical office setting

Additional duties or job functions may be required as deemed necessary.                                                       

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience working with community groups
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office programs
  • Communication skills; written and verbal
  • Problem-solving and issue resolution skills
  • Experience with volunteers

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The Recreation Coordinator should be physically able to perform and assist in the various roles and responsibilities as described including:

  • Event set-up and breakdown
  • Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Work outdoors in the heat and cold

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:           

  • Valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record
  • Education or experience with event planning
  • Nonprofit agency or organization experience
  • Two years customer service experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • First Aid/CPR/AED certified

Event/Concert Host Seasonal

Job Title: Event/Concert Host
Type: Seasonal
Location: Daybreak in South Jordan, Utah
Pay: $12-$15 DOE (21 years old preferred)

LiveDAYBREAK is seeking 2 individuals to help with events/ concerts for the summer of 2021. Primary duties will be to assist with the SoDa Row Summer Concert Series as well as other events and activities throughout the summer. The position schedule includes most Friday and Saturday evenings.

Excellent position for someone interested in event management, recreation management, or concert coordination. Candidates will handle logistics associated with the smooth execution of concerts and events.

Duties will include a wide range of responsibilities including event set-up, janitorial, and security services. The host will also transport performers to and from the airport/hotel, as needed. Candidates will also coordinate a meet and greets as well as artist hospitality rider fulfillment.

Required High School Diploma with an excellent driving record. Personable and friendly, with an interest and passion for the music industry is a plus. Must be 21 or older.

The position will require heavy lifting of luggage, water coolers, event equipment, tables, tents, and other various items.
