Bill Violette is a resident here in Daybreak who is very passionate about keeping Oquirrh Lake clean. This week he worked with Real Salt Lake to gather volunteers who are involved in summer soccer programs to come help pick up trash around the lake. This is just one of the many residents who we would like to thank for their efforts to keep Daybreak clean.

Due to the increased amount of traffic on our trail system and in the parks this summer, the trash has almost tripled in the community. The Association currently has all the maintenance workers tasked with garbage removal each day. We have also added one person to our lake maintenance team who is specifically tasked with trash collection around the lake. Last year the team only needed one employee to manage all pickups but this year is all hands on deck. The maintenance crews are doing the best they can and we kindly ask for residents to support by checking for any trash that they may have left behind on the trails or beach areas.
