R.A.D. Award August 2019: Chad Skidmore
Chad Skidmore is the Resident Appreciation in Daybreak (R.A.D.) Award recipient for August. Neighbors say Chad always goes above and beyond by helping his neighbors with small tasks such as fixing a fence door or spending time looking for a water leak in a sprinkler system.
“Chad always has a smile and is willing to lend a helping hand to all his neighbors with any issues. He is the best neighbor and my wish is that everyone would have a neighbor like him!”
Chad was born and raised in Logan, UT and graduated from Utah State University as well as the AFROTC program and was commissioned in the United State Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant. He served in Medical Administration for more than 5 years on active duty before starting a supply chain management career in health care facilities. Concurrently, he had a career in the Army and Air Force Reserves and retired at the rank of Lt. Colonel after 23 years of service.
In 2016, he and his wife, Connie, moved to Daybreak to be close to their family. They raised five children and now have thirteen grandchildren. He said Daybreak is a wonderful and friendly place to live. They like the diverse residents who are from all walks of life, and think the variety in homes in Daybreak and porches are a great feature that bring people together. They especially love the lake, parks, trails and landscaping that help make Daybreak a unique and beautiful place to live.
Chad enjoys skiing, tennis and working on handyman projects. He is glad to help neighbors with their handyman projects and repairs and share his many skills. Time with family is also a big part of his life.
