This month, we would like to recognize Lyla Slade as our outstanding VAC member. Lyla and her family have lived in Daybreak for about 4.5 years. During that time, she has been an amazing resource for the whole LiveDAYBREAK team. This year alone, she has helped in many activities, including Prom 2.0, the Easter Egg Drop, and Trick-or-Treat Street. She has dedicated countless hours of her time to helping the community succeed, and not just with events. She is also very involved with the elementary school community here in Daybreak.

When she is not dedicating her time to others, you’ll find Lyla traveling, spending time with her family, scrapbooking, decorating, or crafting! She also enjoys attending other LiveDAYBREAK and community events. Her favorites are the dueling pianos wine event and the Goose Chase! “My kids were so into it! We had a blast participating in this event, and it made us completely forget about the early pandemic stressfulness”.

Lyla, thank you for helping us whenever we have needed you this year. You have played a key role in LiveDAYBREAK’s success in 2020 through your generosity, time, and service.
