January 2021 V.A.C. Award: Teresa Onken

Teresa OnkenLiveDAYBREAK would like to recognize Teresa Onken as our January outstanding VAC member. Teresa and her husband Ron moved to Daybreak in June of 2020 from South Bend, Indiana. Since moving to Daybreak, Teresa has been an amazing and supportive new member of the community, including volunteering countless hours with LiveDAYBREAK. You may have seen her at Trick or Treat Street or the Daybreak Duck Derby (her favorites). She has also helped with our Community Camp Out, Holiday Giving program, Santa’s Mailbox, and our Noon Year’s Eve celebration pick up.

Although she moved to Daybreak to be closer to her daughter Lyndsi, her husband Randall, and granddaughter Ellie, she has been quite the adventurer while she’s been here. She and Ron love to take drives into the mountains and explore their new home state. She has learned how to paddleboard, play pickleball, and has even learned to sail on Oquirrh Lake. Come spring, you’ll likely see the two of them driving around the neighborhood on their electric bikes or at one of our upcoming events.

Teresa, thank you so much for all that you have done for us in your short time in Daybreak. All of us at LiveDAYBREAK want to thank you for helping us succeed in 2020!
