Celebrate as we welcome spring with open arms and a burst of nature's wonders! Encounter live ladybugs, birds, butterflies, bees, and a quirky collection of creepy crawlies—all showcased just for you! There's something for everyone: crafting and games, face painting, exploring our butterfly garden, and even a daring taste of edible bugs. Don't let the thrill pass you by—be part of the excitement!
Registration:
This event is exclusively for Daybreak Residents.
There are two separate sign-up links: Owning Daybreak Residents with RECDESK access will register through Rec Desk, while Non-Owning Residents will register through Eventbrite. Registration information is provided below.

This event is free to owning residents. Non-owning residents will be charged $5.00
Non-Owning Residents Registration - Eventbrite
For non-owning Daybreak residents who do not have access to Rec Desk.
Registration costs $5 per person, and attendees must select a timeslot. An add-on is available for ladybug purchases at the following link:
Wristband Pickup:
Wristbands can be picked up at the Daybreak Community Center (4544 Harvest Moon Dr) starting April 29. We highly recommend picking up your wristbands beforehand for a smooth check-in before the event. Wristbands are required to participate in the activities and receive giveaways.
Ladybug Orders:
Pre-orders for Ladybugs are available while supplies last. Each pack contains 500 ladybugs. Ordering is available through Rec Desk or as an add-on to Non-Owning Registration.
Why Ladybugs?
Ladybugs, also known as lady beetles, are not only adorable but are also beneficial bugs. They help to rid an area of crop-damaging pests such as aphids and mealybugs, among other destructive insects. The adult ladybugs feed on these insects and lay their eggs among the prey. When the eggs hatch, the emerging larvae also feed on the insects, contributing to pest control in the area.
