Please see important information for the upcoming 2023 Ladybug Festival event on May 20th at Eastlake Gardens Park (10692 Vermillion Dr. S, South Jordan, UT 84095) below.
- This is a Wristband required event. Please refer to the wristband information below for instructions on obtaining your wristband before the event.
- This event is exclusively for Daybreak Residents.
- There are two separate sign-up links: Owning Daybreak Residents with RECDESK access will register through Rec Desk, while non-owning residents will register through Eventbrite. Registration information is provided below.
Join us to celebrate the arrival of Spring by immersing yourself in a variety of wildlife and bug-related activities. Live ladybugs, birds, butterflies, bees, and other creepy crawlies will be on display! Attendees of all ages can enjoy crafts, games, face painting, edible bugs, a butterfly garden, and much more. Don't miss out!
Wristband Information:
- Wristbands can be picked up at the Daybreak Community Center starting May 1st.
- Wristbands are required to participate in the activities and receive giveaways.
- Please walk/bike to the event where possible, as there is limited parking. If you need to drive, there is parking at the Elementary school and surrounding streets.
REC DESK Registration (for owning residents that have access to RECDESK):
- You'll need to sign up each person attending for a 1-hour time slot on Rec Desk.
- Wristbands can be picked up at the DCC prior to the event.
- Wristbands are required to participate in the activities and receive giveaways.
REC Desk Ladybug Orders
Pre-orders for ladybugs are available while supplies last. Each pack costs $5 and contains 500 ladybugs. Families can purchase up to three packs through Rec Desk.

For non-owning Daybreak residents who do not have access to Rec Desk, registration is available through Eventbrite with an add-on available for ladybugs. Registration costs $5 per person, and attendees must select a timeslot. To register through Eventbrite, please use the following link:
If you would like to purchase ladybugs through Eventbrite, please find the link in the add-on section of the registration form. Each pack costs $7.50, and families are limited to one pack.
Why Ladybugs?Ladybugs, also known as lady beetles, are not only adorable but are also beneficial bugs. They help to rid an area of crop-damaging pests such as aphids and mealybugs, among other destructive insects. The adult ladybugs feed on these insects, and they also lay their eggs among the prey. When the eggs hatch, the emerging larvae feed on the insects as well, contributing to pest control in the area.
