Jordan Rosen is the Resident Appreciation in Daybreak (R.A.D.)

JordanJordan Rosen is the Resident Appreciation in Daybreak (R.A.D.) Award recipient for June 2021!

One neighbor nominated Jordan for the following reason, “This young man honored our fallen heroes on Memorial Day by playing Taps 22 times at various locations around Daybreak! It was a beautiful and generous act and should be commended!”

Jordan spends most of his free time practicing and playing the trumpet. He enjoys sharing his love of music with others! For the past three years, he has ventured out into the neighborhood to play Taps on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. He is honoring those who served in the military as well as their families. He recently finished a season with United Sound, an organization whose mission is to provide musical performance experiences for students with special needs through peer mentorship. He mentored another student and worked with him to learn to play and perform. Their concert was a smashing success as they played “Everything Is Awesome.”

In addition to his musical talent, Jordan has a unique sense of empathy. He reaches out to the underdog and is always looking for ways to include people around him. He has participated in community cleanup efforts, volunteers for LiveDAYBREAK activities, and serves in leadership roles in the high school marching band; his mom just wishes he would clean his room.
