Congratulations Kyle Eberle for being February’s winner of the R.A.D. Award! Kyle was nominated by a neighbor because he offered to surprise that neighbor’s kids as Bumble, the Abominable Snowman, around Christmas and bring some Christmas magic to their family. Not only did he do this for their family, but multiple neighbors around Daybreak as well. Kyle even supplied and installed a smart doorbell to capture the magic. “He takes care of his neighbors. He is what Daybreak is all about!” says the neighbor.

Kyle moved to Daybreak in spring 2018. He’s glad he ignored the advice he was getting at the time that the real estate market bubble in Utah was about to burst. He’s originally from Chico, California and he says he is a proud survivor of California State University (“Note: if you knew what Chico State was like in the 90's, you'd get that joke, I promise,” Kyle says). He is currently the Director of Software Engineering at Vivint Smart Home and enjoys the work-life balance it affords.

He says that he has the best neighbors, living close to the lake and all the moments when Daybreak really lives up to its potential. “In an age when it’s so easy to focus on our differences, this community really does stand out as being something different,” Kyle says. He enjoys playing pool and frequently participates in pool leagues and tournaments. He does a lot of DIY projects around the house and took advantage of the COVID-19 lockdown to finish out some of his basement as a home movie theatre. He dabbles in 3D printing and loves BBQ, and tries to get something on the smoker at least once a week.

In response to being asked to share something quirky about himself, Kyle said, “You mean other than dressing up in a weird costume and doorbell ditching my neighbors?” You might call it quirky, Kyle, but we at LiveDAYBREAK agree that being a stellar neighbor is what Daybreak is all about.
